Historical sample observations
A historical UK review sample provides the following sample-specific context. the archive's latest strain review features a phenotype of Sour Tangie known as London Sour Tangie. This sativa-dominant hybrid strain combines East Coast Sour Diesel and Tangie. \nThe result is a powerful citrus explosion of a strain, giving off strong scents of limonene (citrus/oranges) which carries through into the flavour.\n\nRead on to learn more about this cannabis strain. \n Appearance \n \n\nThe one area of this strain which perhaps let it down a bit was the appearance - Sour Tangie lacks bag appeal. The buds don't look bad, but are smaller and less developed-looking than other strains.\n\nThere are some leaves dotted about the bud. Trichomes can be seen glistening amongst the sunken pistils which are a faded copper colour. The flower is quite uniform in colour with a few shades of green.\n\nThe branding on the packet was good - this came in a premium flower bag (plastic with artwork) - looks like artwork developed for this pheno , mentions weight (3.5g), THC/CBD percentages etc.\n Smell \n \n\n10 out of 10. Super strong citrus, the reviewer visited Kew Gardens recently and nothing the reviewer smelt there comes anywhere close to this. Rich, sweet oranges. Hints of freshness/pine from the East Coast Sour Diesel but the tangie is coming through strongly here.\n\nBreaking open and grinding the bud adds a nice sweet pungency, sort of skunky. When the bud is left in a container and then the container is opened the reviewer also get a puke sort of smell which comes with strains like ODV3, Marmalade.\n Taste + Smoking Experience \n \n\nI consumed the Sour Tangie through the reviewer's bong and the reviewer's Mighty. Through the bong it presented a wonderfully smooth smoking experience, with zero need to cough. This sample was grown organically - it must have been to smoke this smoothly. The citrus comes through into the flavour, again overpowering references to the East Coast Sour Diesel - apparently some phenos lean more towards the Sour Diesel side than the Tangie side, but this is definitely more Tangie.\n\nVaping Sour Tangie presents a super strong, smooth and sweet orange taste that gets top marks from the reviewer, but the reviewer couldn't pick between smoking and vaping this one as both are an absolute treat.\n Effects \n \n\nThe Sour Tangie clocks in at up to 26% THC, according to the bag. The batch the reviewer tried wasn't that strong, but left the reviewer with a sativa-led hybrid high that felt good as a daytime smoke.\n\nOne influence the reviewer can assume was from the East Coast Sour Diesel side was a great chatty side to the high - the sort of high that can help increase productivity or creativity.\n\nIt is a clear-headed strain to smoke rather than one which will leave you too stoned to think straight.\n Conclusion \nI enjoyed smoking and vaping London Sour Tangie for this week's review. Aside from not looking the best, this strain delivered in all areas and was a good smoke for daytime consumption.\n\n \n\n
