Historical sample observations

A historical UK review sample provides the following sample-specific context. Welcome to another the archive Cannabis Strain information feature. This week the archive have East Coast Sour Diesel, a classic Sativa strain with a strong reputation and even stronger genetics. \n East Coast Sour Diesel is a phenotype of Sour Diesel bred by breeding to choice Sour Diesel plants together. It is a fast-acting strain, with cerebral effects kicking in quickly. \n \n East Coast Sour Diesel Strain Review from the archive on Vimeo . \n \n Appearance \nThe bud structure looks great, with a nice depth and variation of colours giving this a deliciously complex look as opposed to the generic over-developed appearance of some "top shelf" strains. \n \n \n \nThe East Coast Sour Diesel feels nicely dense, and the pistils are small and not overtly wild. \n \nThe trim has been done to a good standard, and the trichomes are apparent and cloudy, particularly in the close-up shots. \n \n \n \n Sativa Dominant Hybrid - 70% Sativa / 30% Indica THC: 19% - 22% \n \n Smell \nI didn't immediately get an amazing smell from this strain, but when broken apart this gave a delicious pungent aroma that most reminded the reviewer of pine - it has a similar gassy smell to the old school sour diesel the reviewer reviewed a while ago. \n \nIn fact, it's not too dissimilar to some OG smells e.g. Holy Grail Kush, which is interesting as this is a sativa-heavy strain. The diesel notes are apparent - there are supposedly hints of citrus in the East Coast Sour Diesel aroma as well, but the reviewer didn't get that from smelling this particular phenotype. \n \n \n Taste \nMy method of consumption today is, of course, the reviewer's glass bong. the reviewer had opted for the Chongz Widow Maker this week to get an idea of how the East Coast Sour Diesel smokes, and so load up a good-sized bowl to consume. \n \nHitting the bong, the reviewer was immediately impressed with the flavour of this strain, which delivers those piney, diesely notes during the exhale. \n \n \n \nThis strain tastes stronger than many the reviewer had consumed recently in this manner, perhaps due to the additional cure the reviewer had given it since the reviewer picked it up. \n \nNo taste is lost and the reviewer get a good flavour profile which matches the reviewer's expectations from the smell of this sample. \n Effects \nI mentioned in the intro that this one is fast-acting, and boy, do the reviewer feel it kick in quickly! After the first bong, within a few minutes the sativa cerebral high is starting, with a notable uplift that is perhaps a little too intense to remain productive (after the first bowl anyway.) \n \nActually, this strain isn't without relaxation; with some nice body-chilling effects also kicking in a few minutes after the first bong. \n \n \n \nHitting the second bong is an equally pleasurable experience, even though the reviewer was already very high - the second bowl takes the reviewer higher, reinforcing the lovely cerebral-dominant high that the East Coast Sour Diesel delivers. \n \nIn terms of potential negatives - the reviewer notice a bit of a dry mouth and red eyes from this strain, easily remedied by eye drops and a glass of water. \n \n \n Conclusion \nI really enjoyed this sample, and the East Coast Sour Diesel is going down as one of the reviewer's top strains this year; it's a great smoke - everything from appearance to the smell (when ground up), taste and effects put this on par with a lot of the good weed the reviewer had enjoyed over the past few months. \n \nI'd smoke this one all day, despite generally preferring Indica strains - it's a nice balanced (albeit rather strong) high that kicks in fast and feels good. \n \n \n \n Have you tried East Coast Sour Diesel?
