Historical sample observations
A historical UK review sample provides the following sample-specific context. This week the archive are taking a look at Yeti OG (originally known as Headband BX) bred by Loompa Farms. \nThis phenotype of Yeti OG was found and selected by Resin Heads Genetics in the UK. It is one of two selected phenotypes entered into various cannabis cups in the UK and on mainland Europe. \n \n \t Rosin won 1st & 3rd place in Dead Fox Cup 2017 \n \t Flower placed 11th in UK Canna Cup 2019 \n \t Rosin placed 3rd in Homegrown Cup Holland 2019 \n \nOne phenotype of Resin Heads Genetics Yeti OG remains and it is known as the "Mojito Pheno" due to presence of minty taste along with the familiar lime-citrus terps.\n\n \n\n Genetics: Chemdawg x (MassSuperSkunk x SensiNL) according to Seedfinder \n OG Kush x Sour Diesel according to Leafly. \n(the reviewer would say it looks, tastes and hits more like what Seedfinder says it is than Leafly)\n\n \n\n Appearance \n \n\nThe bud structure is distinct - the plant flowers in 10 weeks and grows in a similar fashion to your typical OG with viney woody stalks.\n\nThere are several colours visible - various shades of greens and yellows - this was flushed for 21 days and grown in coco.\n Smell \n \n\nThe smell consists of fresh pine, jet fuel/diesel and lime/citrus with a peppermint kick. If it were a cocktail it would definitely be a mojito.\n\nNice levels of smell in the jar - made more apparent when breaking the bud open. The gassy aroma hits the nostrils in a way similar to stardawg but less earthy.\n Taste \n \n\nInterestingly the smoke from Yeti OG feels cool during both inhale and exhale due to the minty nature of this particular pheno. Think cool mint, brushing your teeth or even chewing gum. That coolness you get when breathing with something minty in your mouth is there when you smoke this pheno.\n\nThe citrus lime can be tasted also, particularly in the vapor - the reviewer vaped this in the reviewer's Ghost MV1 and smoked it through the ROOR Little Sista bong, both delivering a good representation of the strain in all its glory.\n\nVaping was the reviewer's preferred consumption method, as the reviewer got more nuances in the flavour and the mentholy minty coolness made it so different from the many other strains the reviewer had been vaping recently.\n Effects \n \n\nDuring the video the reviewer guessed this was around 17-22% and the reviewer was correct - it has 20% THC and 3% CBD apparently. This is a good level of cannabinoids for an afternoon/evening/weekend strain and the indica dominant Yeti OG lives up to that.\n\nI felt relaxed in both body and mind, with the effects leaving the reviewer wanting to sit down after 5 or so minutes.\n\nWith afghan landrace in the heritage you can expect the physical warmth in the body that some indicas deliver, and this is a nice (but strange) contrast to the cool nature of the taste!\n Conclusion \n \n\nYeti OG delivers a cocktail-flavoured package of cannabinoid goodness and is well worth a try. Pair with after eights (or similar) for maximum delight.\n\n \n\nHave you tried Yeti OG?
