Historical sample observations
A historical UK review sample provides the following sample-specific context. This week the reviewer got the reviewer's hands on some Colorado Chem for another the archive strain review and information feature. \n When the reviewer started researching Colorado Chem the reviewer couldn't find the genetics information online, but through the grower the reviewer had been able to pin it down. \n This strain's genetics are actually: (Chemdawg 4 x Chem '91) X (Chem d x i95) X GG #4 \n \n\nColorado Chem won 2nd place in the 2014 Denver Cannabis Cup (People's Choice category).\n Appearance \nThe sample came in a "Gas Leak Extracts pack" made from plastic with a printed design featuring the Union Jack and Gas Leak branding.\n\nI thought that this packaging was cool, looks a bit like something the reviewer imagine you might find in the US.\n\nThe bud itself looks very nice, with a better-than-average trim job and solid green colour, and glistening trichomes clearly visible.\n\nThe bud has an old school look and feel to it, also looking like Chemdawg, which isn't surprising as it makes up so much of the Colorado Chem genetics.\n\nIt also feels more resinous than average, and is very sticky when squeezed.\n\n \n Smell \nThe pungent gassy smell is strong, and comes out in full force as soon as the bag is open. In the video the reviewer state that the reviewer would like to live inside that bag, it smells so good.\n\nImagine a similar smell to things like Holy Grail, OG Kush, OG Reek'n, Road Dawg and Kosher Kush, and you can start to get an idea of what this smells like.\n\nIt is definitely one of the reviewer's favourite cannabis-type smells!\n\n \n\nRead the archive's Holy Grail cannabis strain (the reviewer's favourite strain of 2016!) review here:\n\n archivemag.co.uk/holy-grail-kush-strain-review/\n Taste \nThe flavour of Colorado Chem can be experienced nicely through the bong. And the reviewer did so, being treated to a smooth smoking experience and nice flavour on the exhale.\n\nAfter ten or so seconds the reviewer got a sinus-tingling feeling - the same feeling the reviewer get with strains like stardawg that are covered in trichomes and feel expansive in the lungs.\n\n W here the flavour of the Colorado Chem really came into its own was when the reviewer vaped it. Using the Mighty at 180 degrees Celsius the reviewer got an almost literal representation of that oh-so-sweet aroma in the delicious cloudy vapour.\n\nThe strong pungent gas and pine notes were very apparent. Delicious and left the reviewer wanting more!\n\n \n Effects \nThis is a hybrid strain, delivering a potent hit with the Mighty-Vaping/Bong-Smoking combination.\n\nThe high kicks in after just a few minutes, progressing into a lovely mix of a body-relaxing yet mind-lifting state that the reviewer thoroughly enjoyed.\n\n \n Conclusion \nThis was grown well, and the genetics of Colorado Chem are strong. Both these factors led to a top quality sample for this week's review.\n\nIt is hard to fault the Colorado Chem. This is one the reviewer'd smoke again and again.\n\nHave you tried this strain? What are your thoughts?
