This week the archive are taking a look at an Indica strain called Violator Kush \nThe Violator Kush cannabis strain is bred by Barney's Farm, combining Malana and Hindu Kush strains, the result is a strain delivering a a powerful high that is said to induce couch lock in consumers. \n \nWe're about to go into detail about this cannabis strain, right now, here in the archive Magazine... \n \n Video Review \n \n \n Appearance \nViolator Kush is listed as an Indica strain, and apparently produces large yields of very resinous flowers on a short, bushy plant. \n \nThis bud sample looks good, with multi-coloured pistils ranging from gold to orange. It's been given a reasonable trim job, but the bud comes across as slightly dull rather than glistening in the light. \n \n \n \nThe bud is very dense - there's almost no give in this one as the reviewer squeeze it between the reviewer's fingers. \n Smell \nThis smells like you'd expect an old school indica strain to smell - the reviewer get earthy, woody notes (apparently also associated with organic grows). \n \nI can smell the kush in its genetics, and also a slight gassyness (or pineyness) that the reviewer really wasn't expecting to smell! \n \n \n \nThe Violator Kush sample smells much stronger once broken and ground up, delivering complex layers of cannascents that all smell good - the reviewer was excited to smoke this one! \n Taste \nSmoking this strain through the reviewer's bong, the reviewer got a good idea of the flavour, which came through reasonably well. \n \nI also vaped some Violator Kush through the reviewer's Arizer Air 2 to get a better idea of the taste of this strain. \n \n \n \nI can taste the earthy pungency of this bud, particularly through the reviewer's vaporiser. It comes with an almost spicy, woody flavour. \n \nSmoking this through the reviewer's bong, it doesn't make the reviewer need to cough, but does hit with some power. \n Effects \nBeing a full indica, this is a body-stoning strain which is more likely to deliver couch-lock or induce sofa-sitting than get you in the mood for a party. \n \n \n \nI'd smoke this in the evening, or potentially for pain relief, but probably wouldn't pick this one as a wake and bake strain due to the effects listed above. \n \nIt took a bit longer to kick in fully than the reviewer was expecting, continuing to get the reviewer higher for a good 15 minutes or so after consuming the bong and vaporiser of Violator Kush for the review. \n Conclusion \nOverall, the reviewer'd say that Violator Kush is a good strain. However, it was, for some reason, difficult for the reviewer to get excited about, despite the reviewer's general love for indica varieties of cannabis. \n \nThe appearance was good, but a little dull. The scent was nice once ground up, but didn't make the reviewer want to keep smelling it. The taste was nice, but nothing special (think LA Confidential, but more "spicy" and not in the reviewer's opinion as nice a flavour), and the effects are fully on the indica side, which the reviewer like, but surprisingly isn't the reviewer's favourite compared to some of the indica-dominant hybrid strains the reviewer had sampled recently. \n \n \n \nI enjoyed this review, but the strain won't be going down as one of the reviewer's favourites. That being said, it's pretty strong, and therefore a good smoke for in the evenings once you're ready to relax! \n \n
